Call for Special Sessions

MISSI 2010 Program Committees solicit proposals for special sessions within the scopes of the MISSI Conference. Special sessions, to be organized by international recognized experts, aim to bring together researchers in special focused topics. Their objective is to complement the regular program with new or emerging topics of particular interest. A special session will consist of a group of papers in a sub-discipline of multimedia and network information systems related to the main topics of the Conference. The papers will be required to meet the same standards.
Papers submitted for special sessions are to be peer-reviewed with the same criteria used for the contributed papers.

To propose a special session contact the Invited Sessions Chair Kazimierz Choroś at Kazimierz.Choros@pwr.wroc.pl not later than February 14, 2010 and include the following information in your e-mail:

  • special session title,
  • special session objectives and topics
(Rationale of the need for the special session at MISSI. The rationale should stress the novelty of the topic and /or its multidisciplinary flavor, and must explain how it is different from the subjects covered by the regular sessions),
  • contact e-mail,
  • special session Program Committee:
  • special session organizers (short biography of the organizers):
  • previous special session experience,
  • tentative papers and authors
(List of four papers, including titles, authors, contact information of the corresponding author, and an abstract of each contribution. It is recommended that the first paper be a tutorial in the field, of overview character, in order to introduce a non-specialist MISSI audience to the subject.),

Session organizer(s) will be responsible for the advertisement and promotion of the special session and of the Conference.
